Happy Thanksgiving!

Posted by:

As the days grow shorter and the holiday season fast approaches, I always feel a tug toward reflection and pause.  Thanksgiving is one of those holidays that has the potential to offer nourishment in varying ways through: good company, good food and good practices. If we’re lucky, we get to reaffirm these kernels of goodness in our lives.

Good company:  I’m grateful for a loving family, a community of dear friends and amazing clients that I’ve had the pleasure of teaching over many years.   Pilates Alchemy is moving into its 7th year in Mount Airy and everyday I’m grateful to support others through the transformative power of pilates and movement.

Good food: I LOVE the traditional holiday fare and the yummy fixings that make this holiday unique at this specific time of year in the Northern Hemisphere.  Check out this simple yummy sweet potato recipe I made last year that was a huge hit!

Good practices: Pilates and Movement, Mindfulness and Meditation. Just a few of my favorites… what are yours? Whether you’ve been practicing pilates for years, a few months, or you’ve yet to dip your toes in…. the benefits of pilates offer the opportunity to stretch and strengthen your whole body at the same time. This lends itself to more fluidity in your daily activities and helps connect you with a deeper awareness of yourself which in turn offers more presence to your life.

If you are one of those people who have never tried pilates before, I’ve got great news… Now is the perfect time! Give yourself or someone you love a special gift this holiday season!  Through January 6th, 2019,  we‘re running a holiday special  – 3 private sessions for $150 and your first mat class for $10. We can’t wait to share this life changing practice with you. Come on in and join us! See you soon.
